One on the way.

My beautiful friends, the Ganus family, are expecting their second child! I am always honored to be asked to photograph these milestones in their lives. Miss A, is going to be one fantastic big sister. Landon and Cassie, thank you! I cannot wait to meet this child!

a tiny new life…

You know the feeling when you see a baby?  The squishy little arms, the sweet smell, they tiny feet…my heart explodes every time.  Now when one of your best friends has a new baby, it takes my breath away.  Aside from my own children, seeing my family or friends who are like family with their babies is priceless.  I was thrilled to get to make the trip to Arkansas to capture the newness of Josh and Jess’s second daughter.  It is hard being so far away from the ones we love, during this season of babies!  I was honored to be at big sister’s birth and so wished I could have timed it right for Miss A.  However, i am not complaining because I got to snuggle this little bundle of love for a long time and she is simply precious!

I also need to give a shout out to my right hand assistant, reflector holder, grandma extraordinaire, Jess’s mom.  She was fantastic!  And there is a picture below that falls into my category for favorite images ever.  It is up close of Kris, Jess and Miss A.  The love that our grandmas give (or adopted grandmas) is irreplaceable.

Thank you so much Josh and Jess for trusting me with your family.

a walk down memory lane…

This family is so special to my crew.  They were the neighbors I prayed for when we moved.  We got to a point where we were together almost every day of the week.  Our kids loved each other and I had a treasure of a friend in Erin.  When they decided it was time to move we had planned to take some farewell pictures in downtown OKC, however, as things usually go when moving, it never happened.  So I was so thrilled that we were able to squeeze it into a long weekend visit.  Enjoy seeing a small part of our big city with some precious faces.

no better place than camp…

At the beginning of the summer I had a chance to go back to one of my favorite places on earth.  If you went to summer camp, you know the special bond a place like that can create.  If you were raised at such camp, you know how those people you grew with are family.  And when you get to go back with them and their precious daughter, it is like a reunion.

It was so hot in June, so we got out to the grounds as early as we could to capture some images of Landon, Cassie and their Miss A.  I am always humbled and honored to be trusted with any family’s memories.  And watching Miss A march around like it was her second home, was so endearing to me.  I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from the day!

a tree swing and a tea party…

My sister-in-law comes up with great ideas!  She wanted to have a session centered around a tree swing and a tea party.  Those are two things my nieces are fantastic at doing and Meagan wanted it captured for her wall.  I had so much fun watching these two little silly girls play together.  My children are blessed to love and be loved by their cousins.  They are all best buddies and it is just plain ol’ fun!
